Our new board member, DI Theresia Vogel

On October 1, 2025, we were able to open a new chapter in the still young history of the Energy Park Research Foundation: It is with great pleasure that we warmly welcomeDITheresiaVogelas a new member of the Executive Board. Together withDI Dr. Hannes Schaffer, she now forms the Executive Board team of our foundation.

An enrichment for our research foundation

We are convinced that Theresia Vogel is a real asset to our work. She is an ideal addition to our Executive Board team and at the same time fits seamlessly into the diverse group of our foundation members. She was already involved in the ÖGUT jury meeting for the Renewable Energy 2025 special prize on October 1 as a newly appointed member of the Board of Directors - with valuable input, a clear perspective and a great deal of commitment. Her experience and her network open new doors, her strategic thinking brings clarity and direction, and her passion for renewable energy inspires us all.

As a young research foundation, it is an important step for us to have people like Theresia Vogel on the Board of Directors. People who will advance our work with expertise, conviction and vision and work with us on solutions for a climate-positive, renewable energy future.

Dear Theresia - welcome on board! We are very much looking forward to working together, to exciting projects and to taking many steps and reaching many milestones with you over the next few years.

The role of the Executive Board in the Research Foundation

The Executive Board bears strategic responsibility for the Foundation's work. It decides on the content, sets the fundamental course and represents the Foundation externally. It is therefore not only the link between the members of the Foundation and the Scientific Advisory Board, but also sets the pace for the projects and initiatives with which the Research Foundation fulfills its mission: Providing impetus for the energy transition, driving research forward and building bridges between science, practice and society.

In doing so, the Board of Directors always acts in accordance with the purpose of our foundation as set out in our founding declaration:

"The purpose of the foundation is research and teaching for Austrian science or industry in the field of sustainable, renewable, climate-neutral energy generation, storage and distribution."
